Spring Is Springing!

The very first spring that I lived here in North Carolina, I was totally ammused by the fact that there are random daffodiles that pop up all over the place. As you drive past an ugly field of weeeds you will see these beautiful daffodiles popping up. In our back yard we have many little spots of green sprouting up in random spots. These flowers are very pretty and they make me HappY! I think I will go pick some and put them in a vase. I hope they dont have bugs!

Your Child Spent The Day In A Laundry Basket???!!! ...lol

Andrew has spent most of his "up" hours sitting in this basket today. I am talking about maybe 4+ hours. He just loves it. Every so often I give him a new toy to play with and he sits there and plays quietly. This is the funniest/strangest thing I have seen. I guess it is his version of a 'his chair'?! Aiden didn't really care for sitting in Andrews basket.

Aiden thought it would be fun to have his own basket today. . . He was loving his new basket until he tried to get out and scraped his face on the side of his brothers..

The other day I opened up the screen door and let the gremlins crawl on out and, oh my gosh, THEY LOVED IT! They take off on knee as fast as they can to get away from me and go exploring.

Valentines Sugar Cookies!

We had a beautiful Valentines day at our house. I woke up to flowers and cards from Adam and the kids. Then Adam woke up right after me and sent me back to bed. (It was still pretty early.. Aiden is a morning bird who likes to get up by 6:30). That was nice. When I got back up breakfast was ready and we ate. I then took a little time for me and went and got my hair cut. Then we made some sugar cookies! That was fun and totally delicious. I should know better, but they were sooo good!

In the late afternoon Awesome Grammy Carol came over and watched all four of our kids and 2 girl cousins, Lindsay and Chloe and we went out ~ Just Adam and Me! We have only gone out on a date like that 1 other time in the last 15 months! It was nice and quiet. Every restaurant was packed with 2+ hours of waiting. As much as we liked the alone time, umm, I dont think we have patience to sit and wait for that long. We ended up at a very nice Mexican Restaurant that had red roses on the tables and dinner was by candle lit. Thanks so much to Awesome Grammy Carol for taking time out of her busy life to come over! We reallllly appreciated getting out!

Theses little fellas love love love when Daddy gives them bathtime. They hang out and splash as long as they can. The only trouble is trying to keep them sitting down. Andrew fell last week on me and hit his chin pretty hard on the side and cracked it open. {he is ok though} scared me lots.

So, the other day I was adding some frozen food to the freezer and I pulled out some hamburger buns and set them on the table... and forgot about them. A few hours later, the boys found them and devoured them! They made the biggest mess of the kitchen floor but they were so happy. How could a Mom get mad???

Happy 12th Birthday Ian! You are such a good kid and such a great older brother to Jade, Aiden and Andrew! We feel so blessed to have such a good Son!
