The Asheboro Zoo

We have always talked about taking a day trip to the zoo but never quite made it all these years.  Well a few weekends back we took a day trip to Asheboro (about 2.5 hours) from our house to check out the zoo in the winter! The drive was really nice and mellow {boys on best behavior.. napping maybe?} and Mom and Dad just chilling in the front seat listening to the movie on the speakers.  It was the perfect day to go – not very hot and not cool either.

JD’s 12th Birthday!

Our sweet little book work just turned 12.  We had a very small dinner / cake and ice cream thing at home and yet she said it was her ‘best birthday EVER’!  …wha?
