Granite Falls Swim Meet

Here are some pics from our Granite Falls Swim Meet. We didn't win this meet, but the kids swam really good! Pics..Angela and Joe showed up for Jades last swim of the evening (Ian still had 2 more). After they both swam, we took off and went and got some delicious pizza. (Thanks Joe)

Doctors Appointment -- We have a broken Aiden

So... Today we took a trip over to the doctors office. Aiden's ear was bleeding over the weekend. Here is the convo with the Dr. Dr: Hi, What seems to be the problem?
Me: Well.. Umm.. You see... I was hosing down the kids out in the front yard the other day with the hose, and I guess Aiden had some water go down into his ear and cause him some troubles...
Dr: (laughs) Oh, I do that too my kids too! I just thought he was going to say I am an unfit mother. Made me feel better that he does the same thing! One more reason I like him.. LOL! Some Pics...

Watch Out World..

The boys started driving! We seem to do a ton of shopping and we do have to find way to make it fun for the boys sometimes. One of their most favorite places to shop is Food Lion. There is this really nice girl who works in the Bakery named Angela and she gives them cookies! Lots of Cookies! When we walk in to the store, they start hollering, so by the time we reach the bakery they have her attention and cookies in hand. LOL Being the germ-a-phob I am, I would never never never let them ride in one of these.. However, Dad, who teaches the boys (and me) to relax and enjoy life.. Thought it would be great to let them drive around. They really enjoy it! This last picture seriously cracks me up! Andrew looks as if he was caught in the act! Too Funny!

Do You See This Totally Cute Little Punk!?

HE looks so sweet and so innocent, but man.. he can get in to some serious mischief and quick! He has started climbing like some serious stinking monkey. His favorite place to play now is up on chairs.. especially Mom's computer chair that swivels. Yeah.. and don't forget, he love love loves to pound on the laptop and break the keys off.. Currently, the shift, alt, Fn, F2, and G keys are all 'broken off and put back on.. Most look like they are normal.. however, the G key and the shift key have seen better days.. I love you little Andrew. No Matter What, if the fellas get outside, they are headed straight to the pool. Empty or full the pool IS their favorite. My favorite.. however, is when we are all ready to get in the car to drive away.. and they run over to the pool and hop in it... Me thinking, 'oh it is empty, no worries'.. only to find out that it rained and now we have to go back in and change clothes.. :0) We got to watch Aunt Aimee's dog Cocoa for a weekend. All the kids really liked her. Andrew grabbed her leash and wanted to take her on a walk.. Then.. he saw the pool.. and the dog was out of his mind. He dropped the leash and was on his way. and last but certainly not least.. we have had some biting and hair pulling going on at our house. I am not sure why, but one week, Aiden just kept biting all of us. It was crazy. Andrew gets mad and pulls Aidens hair all the time. Other than that.. we have a loving home.. LOL.

Summer Swim

I can't believe I haven't blogged for a whole 13 days! That is the longest amount of time I have ever not written on here. Truth be told, we got some stupid virus on our computer (from Facebook I swear) and I had to spend countless hours nursing the compy back to health. . . We are having a pretty mellow summer. The kids have been going to some matinees and swimming at the big pool. We have sorta been doing swim team also, and that usually keeps us busy. Adam pretty much stepped down as the head coach this summer, so that has relieved some pressure off his busy schedule. We have had only been to a few meets this summer so far. Here are some pics from the Valdese Meet which was last Thursday..

Our kids sure love swimming and they do a great job! We are proud of the great swimmers that they have become.

Martha'S ParK

We have this really cool park in our town with a water fountain play area for kids. Jade and Andrew really like to run in the water and have it spitting up at them. Andrew will let Jade run him through the water and he has a really good time. He does run in it on his own too. The only problem s when those big kids come along and knock him on his butt.

This day that we were there, there was a well dressed lady there with her two kids and they had some McDonald's cups... Andrew kept walking up and trying to steal one of the drinks. The lady didn't find it amusing. But, it was sorta funny that he just wouldn't stop going right up to them, I was embarrassed.. {sorry!}

Aiden on the other hand is pretty cautious of the water...

He likes it, but pretty much tries to stay out of it.

I would consider him a 'watcher'.

And were back to this.

Sweet little Andrew was chilling in his basket and along comes Aiden who plops down on top of him in the basket. Aiden is a bit bigger than Andrew.. so I am sure it was uncomfortable for the little guy.

This brings me to my next thought... No matter what Andrew is doing, Aiden is trying to do it on top of him. {...poor andrew}

Funny Story here:

Dad came home one day from work with this small 4 wheeler in the back of his truck. I was standing at the front door and he was next to me and I was like what the heck?? You cant just go buy a 4-wheeler and not tell me. I was kinda getting a little upset at him.. then he told me it was plastic. A friend at his work gave it to him. It needs some new tires, but other than that it is pretty cool. We played a trick on Ian, Jade and Cousin Joshua... they all thought it was real also.. lol. Too Funny.

Jades Trip to Myrtle Beach

Aunt Aimee and Cousin Rahlee invited Jade to go on a trip to Myrtle Beach last weekend, and boy did she jump at that opportunity. Jade is a fish who belongs in water and she had a really great time.
