More and More Weather Issues

We keep having weather related problems here.  This has by far been one of the craziest weather winters since we came here.

 

Jade has lost 5 and 1/2 days of school due to snow, snow, snow, snow and yesterday the wind knocked the power out of the school the night before.  So they had to cancel the whole day again.  geez.  When I was a kid I only dreamed of having a snow day. Some of the schools around here have missed up to 9 days of school.  Crazy stuff.

 

Anyways, Cousins Rahlee and Chloe came over for a sleepover.  Here are some pics of them out in the wet weather.

We found this cute 4 BD 2 BA home to move into right at the last minute after the house we were going to buy fell through.  We were all packed up to move.. and no where to go.. LOL.

We love this place much better though. So much more room and it is new! Which is really nice.  Looking around, we really need a decorator!  I am going to see if I can work my magic and get one of the interior decorating Gilliam Ladies to lend some ideas…  

My most favorite feature is the fence around back for the boys to play out side.  -Very Cool!

We Have A Teen Ager in The House

We celebrated Ian’s 13 birthday with him last weekend when he was here.  It is hard to believe he is already 13 years old!  He is growing into such a fine young man.  We love to have him at our house and all three of the other kids always look forward to when he comes over! 

Wireless Internet

So. We recently moved and I have had the hardest time setting up my wireless internet. Usually I am pretty smart at all that setting up crap, but dang.. this one just about made me lose my mind.

I finally after much much trial and error... figured out that my new Dell computer didn't have a wireless card in it.. For Real? Do they really make them without those?

Yes, So after a little research I ran myself over to Walmart to pick up a wireless USB antenna thingy. After many many hours - still no wireless computing for me.

So tonight. I decided to try my hand at it one last time before taking the little thing back - tried it again and read the error message a little more clear.

"This wireless router can not connect with that modem. They are not compatible"

I thought hmm.. that is crazy.. then somehow it donned on me to look in the box that the modem came in from the cable company.. guess what is there?! Nothing but a CD to make the modem compatible with the wireless router.

LOL.

Whatever. I am wireless and can now move the computer out of my bedroom!
