Separation Anxiety

Clearly the boys have out grown being in the crib together but we dont have room for a second crib in our home. A quick/easy fix I came up with was to set up the pac n' play in Jades room so they could take naps in separate locations during the day. This way they wouldn't wake each other up. Well, that worked so good that I thought I would just have Andrew sleep in there at night also. The first night or two it worked great. He slept the whole night through, Aiden still woke up though. (He usually wakes up around 3 a.m. and then gets up for the morning at 6 a.m.) Then two nights ago, Andrew just kept waking up. Again and again and again. Then he would be crying so loud, he would wake Aiden who was in the other room up. Finally I put him back into bed with Aiden, and less than 10 minutes later both were back sound asleep. Then there was tonight. Same dang thing. I put Andrew back in with Aiden and less than 10 minutes later they were right next to each other. (Aiden is actually laying on Andrew in this pic). Happily sleeping with no interruptions. I am so thankful that these boys have each other. Their love for one another is completly obvious even though Aiden picks on Andrew alot. Andrew is beginning to fight back though! ..lol.

TrappeD

After chasing the gremlins around the house all week, I trapped them back up in the front room. They have had such a busy week putting Daddys' cellphone in the toilet, trashing the kitchen cupboards, ruining Sissys new sketchbook and some other books as well. . . . While trapped in there, they started to throw all the toys, books, paci's and bottles over the wall. Always thinking of how they can make a disaster for Mom to clean up! These are the sweetest little boys! I Love Them So Much! ...lol

HappY BirthdaY JadeY

Tomorrow little Jade is turning 9. Geez. Time just freeking flies these days. I was listening to Jade talk yesterday, and paying attention to the fact that she is starting to get into 'doing her hair' all cute. She is just growing up right before my eyes. This year she wanted a pool party. So we reserved us a timeslot at the Aquatics Center here in town. We had a few girls come from school, Jades favorite neighbor girl, Ian and lots of cousins there. I think we all had a pretty good time.
Here is the AWESOME cake that cousin Angela made for the party. She went on the internet and found it and made one like the one in the pic (thanks to www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com/)
We hope you have a great year Jade!

Creativity

Yesterday I was trying to find some creativity for the first time in a really looo---oong time and make some invitations to Jades Birthday Party. It was much easier to do in my mind then in my real life. You see I have these great little helpers who all want to use their own creativity and most of the time need a little help doing so.. Here is the first Offender Andrew. He used DMC floss and strung it all out, took off the little papers and then wrapped it around himself like a necklace. He then got some purple paper and was working on a piece of drool art. You know the kinda art you make while chewing on paper. Then there was little Jade. She was making a card for her first grade teacher who has been sick for a good portion of this year. She was making her a "I miss you" card. She also used said DMC Floss to make a necklace for her teacher. She is such a sweet little kid. Then there was the little ankle biter Aiden. He wasnt really interested in doing any craft projects, he just wanted to be ticked. But he sure was cute while he was laughing his guts out. lolHere are the finished cards. I think they turned out pretty cute.

oh, and by the way, marg, if you are reading this..... lol.. I borrowed some of that paper you sent.. sorry and thank you.

Plagued By The Flu

Our household has totally been plagued by the stomach flu for almost a whole week now. YUCK! Jade got sick last Thursday, I think it was, Aiden got it Saturday night, Andrew and I both came down with it on Sunday afternoon and Aiden got it again with us, today it hit Adam. Geez! Talk about not lucky. We have used so much Lysol this week it isnt funny. I have taken the boys out shopping a few times just to get us out of the house and each and every single time sweet little Aiden has a blow out in his pants. You know the kind where you wish you had a hose to clean him off with...? Yeah. Gross! lol Other than that we have had a good week. I guess. A fantastic week really. We are getting ready to buy our plane tickets to fly to Utah at the end of April. We are going for my neice Heathers wedding. I am looking forward to seeing family and friends and having everyone meet the gremlins boys. I sure hope we are healthy by then..
Here are some pics from our walk tonight.

Poor Little Jadey

We had a horrifying experience today as we were unloading the car of kids. I took Aiden in and plopped him on the living room floor. Then I went back out side and opened the van door for Jade to get out and grab Andrew. As I was waiting for Jade to hop out Andrew pulled a quick one and grabbed some scizzors out of a bag Jade was carrying. She then went to grab them right as he was opening and then closing them. He totally cut off a large chunck of the pad of her index finger. It was an aweful experience that totally happened in slow motion. Poor little Jade, I feel so bad that this happened to her.

School Is Cancelled!

We got that call last night that every kid dreams of...
School was cancelled for Monday!
Hooray!!!
Andrew and Aiden on their way out to playJadey pulliun them along in the sledStill pulling... loosing Aiden as they go..My Little Snow AngelAndrew ~ Totally Ticked when Play Time Was OVER! I wonder if the daffodiles will survive.

Life As We Know It

These babies keep us busier then we ever imagined. They can destroy a decently cleaned house in less than 10 minutes. This past week I invested in a gate and a pak and play. These two things became have-to-haves and RIGHT NOW! Andrew and Aiden arent big on going to sleep in the same crib anymore. They want to wrestle each other and often times Aiden will be found sitting on his brother. He is so much bigger than him, it just seems unsafe. Needlesss to say after getting the pack n play and setting it up in Jades room why she is at school, we get a lot longer of a nap time! Yeah for Mommy! lol. We had our nurse stop by this past week to see their progress. Aiden is in the 3rd percentile for weight and Andrew is not quite on the chart. Both have good height though.. She didn't have to much to say besides this. Aiden is still getting his therapy on his arm and his leg. Two seperate ladies come and work with him during the weeks. He is just getting to the part where he can almost stand on his own! He has made awesome progress!
