Lets go out for dinner , thats what we did on the evening of November 10th. Just us, our daughter decided she wanted to stay at the her neighbor friends house. Trish had been having some pains earlier but wrote them off as braxton hicks. It has been a rough 6 months for her, constant nausea and vomiting. We had kind of joke around on the way to dinner what if she went into labor at the buffet line we would name our babies after the Chinese restaurant. We could not have imagined what would transpire after dinner. Me being somewhat concerned with these pains i urged Trish to call the doctor. She did and he told her to go to the hospital so he could examine her. I remember the way my heart sank as he told us she was completely dilated and ready to deliver. But wait its way to early i said, Trish was only 25 weeks along. The atmosphere went from a quite calm to organized chaos as the Dr. and the nurses began to ready all the equipment needed to stabilize our tiny guys. Luckily there is an awesome transport team at a nearby hospital that specializes in preterm babies. Once the transport team arrived the delivery began. Our little Aiden came first, he had been the one on top and the most active somehow the little guy made his way around brother to be born at 8:34pm he weighed 1lb13oz., Andrew came 10 minutes later at 1lb 12 oz. When i had heard each of them cry i felt that this was a good sign. But all the uncertainty remained.
