Ok – so I guess I have been on some serious blogging hiatus. I think about the blog and putting up some entries every few days but months and months have gone by and we are just busy.. busy… busy… but then again who isn’t?
We are approaching the ending of summer vacation now and this has been a great year for us so far. We are very blessed to have good health and our home and surrounded by great family both near and far. We are always thankful for all the blessings that we are blessed with.
Adam is still working his job that he has been at for over 3 years – he enjoys it immensely.. to say the least. He is very faithful to it and gives it his all. Adam decided that it ws time for him to find himself a hobby.. so he picked himself up a boat. So now he will be able to take us on the lake quite often and he can even do some fishing.
I am still working at home full time. I love what I do. Some days it is a struggle to keep the kids happy, the work situation happy, the house clean and LAUNDRY done, but I give it my all (most of the time) and make it work. It is very nice to be able to have such a flexible schedule so I can come and go as need be.
Ian is growing up way to quickly, he is starting his freshman year of high school this year. He is working on being on the football team again this year and he is now taller than most of us. Pretty soon he will be driving a car. Ian and Jad both started trying to learn how to wake board. I love how neither of them are fearful. Just eager to learn!
Jade is quite the bookworm. She LOVES to read books. She did AMAZING in school this past year. At the end of the school year she was presented with quite a few awards, one of them being presidential award (signed by mr. obama himself) and another one of the awards being HIGHEST AR points in the whole 5th grade class! She LOVES to read! This summer she has done the swim team and has loved almost every minute of it!
Andrew and Aiden are both growing up so quickly. Aiden is incredibly smart, he catches a lot of little things that I don’t even think of – and asks about them. Andrew is usually pretty quiet and he LOVE LOVE LOVES to play the wii. We have the netflix on the wii 0—so they can watch cartoons, but he just is so eager to play video games. Both of them are attending Daycare now just 2 days a week, and every time we go there it is a struggle to get Andrew in the door. He is usually screaming by the time I leave. Reminds me of someone I once knew who went to daycare and hated it….
We have really enjoyed our garden this year! We planted kale, and squash and tomatoes, and watermelon and cucumbers, and lettuces and broccoli. We just re-tilled the garden and we are going to start our late summer garden. Looking forward to seeing what we can get in the freezer with that!
I guess that is all I have for now. I will need to find a new camera ASAP = we have been out of a camera for almost a year now. Between the last one being broken and sent in for fixing twice – and then destroying it while we were on vacation in the spring.. then borrowing cameras, and using just our cell phones for pictures – then buying a brand new camera and having it stop working after two weeks – we just have BAD CAMERA LUCK. Soon we will pick up a new one.
More to come!
