Well Summer sure came and went really fast it was just barely the last day of school, and we were waiting to close on our new home. And now we are back in school and working and have regularly scheduled programming going on! Back in May of this year, we decided we were ready to move. We started looking around for for sales signs and looking in those RE magazines. We simply had a hard time finding something that we would like. We were wanting a house big enough for all of us (were at the prime growing season for our family), and we knew we wanted the house to sit on a piece of land. Now, my big thing, was I really didn’t want an ‘old hours’ cause they tend tom have some troubles.
Anyways Adam kept bringing this one house to my attention but it had a swimming pool. I was like no. No way, not with our boys. So this went on for about 2 weeks, and then I decided I would just grab the address and drive by and go check it out. So one afternoon, I want to say on a Monday, I threw the kids in the truck and went to do a ‘drive by’. Well – that was it. Love the location, loved the land, loved the house. AND it is over 30 years old! HAHA So much for new!
I called the realtor immediately and made an appointment for Adam and I to go see it on Wednesday when the kids were a daycare. The realtor asked me if I wanted to get some other information on other homes in the area, and I was said no… she showed up with some anyways. We did the walk thru and we were like we want it. How do we write an offer. She said to stop in the office and we will get it taken care of later that day! So we did.. and put the closing 5 weeks later! Well a loooong 5 weeks later, we closed, got the keys and started moving in boxes and the rest is history. We are truly blessed to be able to get in to such a beautiful home and for that we are thankful!
Here is the for sale sign that sat there for 2 years before we found it!
and The Beautiful pool!
The FUN red barn
The house is pretty old and it has had some seriously random problems since we moved in, but my sweet Adam is quite the handy man and has addressed each problem head on as we have had them. So that has been really nice! Really nice not to have the repair man come out for all these little tedious problems. Love ya honey!

Wow, congratulations. Looks like a great pool and house. I was cleaning out our house the other day and came across the picture book you made for me when I left Provo. It was fun to look at and relive all those fun memories. I totally forgot about the limo ride to SLC and the annoying other girl who answered phones and had all the weird tea sets. Anyway, those were fun times. Eat some popcorn today at 2, just for fun.
Aww! Good Memories! I remember that crazy limo ride! We had a great office adventure that day! Hope you guys are doing cute! Grady is adorable! :)
