Christmas Eve 2015

This year our Christmas Eve was just a little different then normal.. but not really if you think about it.  Christmas Eve is about forgetting about the daily grind, spending time together, being happy and spreading holiday cheer.

This year .. I think it is safe to say we nailed it.

We spent the day at home (for the most part) making cookies, watching movies and the boys even wrapped a couple of their presents.  Then after the cookies were done.. we loaded them all up in to cute little plastic containers.. and we set out to deliver them...

Our first stop on the journey was to be Ron's house in Gridley...  Him and Laura were deep in holiday preperations... making cheesecakes and such.  Ron let us play with his Christmas Train.. which was totally cool btw..

While we were there he also got out his beebee gun and let all the kids have a chance at shooting the target.  Adam also had a chance to use the gun as well.  I would have more pics.. but my phone died.

Also.. Check out those clouds!  It looked crazy!

The next stop on our journey was a quick stop in to Red Robin to have dinner..
{Even elves get hungry too you know.}

After dinner the next stop on our journey was to my big brother Kenny's house.  Not anyone in the family talks to Kenny anymore.  So we grabbed his address from Little Kenny and made our way over.  Little Little Kenny met us at the door - he is 11 years old.  Very nice kid.

Out going, talkative, smart and talented (good guitar player as well as skateboarder) and welcomed us in.  Little Kenny and Big Kenny were delighted to see us!

Big Kenny got kinda emotional that we dropped in.  So that was sweet and he kept hugging us - all of us - LOL. He's a good guy.

We said our good byes after about 20 - 30 minutes and ran on over to Bob's house to crash the Bailey family party.. no not really.. LOL..

They were in the middle of watching something on video quietly when we barged in which was kinda humerous..  :)

We quickly said our good byes there as well and ran off to touch down with the full circle at Margs house.  We spent some time there and that was nice.

****

So.. to be honest I NEVER in my wildest dreams would have showed up unannounced at any of the houses today.  This was all Adam's idea.  Our family is a shattered mirror.. of a family. Seriously.
Depending on the week some one will be upset with another someone. We are just misunderstood and whatever else.

As I go to bed tonight.. I am feeling very thankful that my husband has such an incredibly loving heart that he would nudge me to do this. He is such a good guy and I am very blessed to be his. I am thankful that I got to see each of them this week (including Cathy) that is 5 out of 7.. ALL in one week.. pretty good if you ask me.

If we were not here - we wouldn't have had the opportunity to make Kenny happy for a brief minute on Christmas... and that I think was probably the best gift we could ever give.

Last but not least.. while we were wrapping presents. we got a little bit of surprised when Andrew walked in to tell us he pulled out a tooth.. #whoops.
