We had a great little mini-vacation! We left early Thursday morning and had a smooth 5 hour ride to Myrtle Beach. The little boys were SO good on the way down there. I dont think there was any crying or anything. Jade and Ian were great to feed them their bottles and play with them. Ian and Jade were very good also, considering their extremely close quarters (1 seat fits 2). As soon as we got there we checked in at the campground. At first I was a little leary about staying at a campground in a cabin, but it was actually a really fun little adventure. Ian and Jade absolutley loved it. they didn't have any 'deluxe' cabins available for that weekend, so we stayed in a one bedroom w/o restroom or shower. It had a queen size bed and a bunk bed. There was a facility just across camp so it worked out pretty good. Also, this cozy little cabin had a swinging chair, we all loved it! Here are some pics:

Sleeping arrangements for the cabin were pretty good. We had the boys in a pak n' play the first night. I kept waking up to check on them as it was cold in there from the air conditioner. But, you couldn't turn the air off or it would go instantly hot and humid. Anyways, this first night, I woke up and checked on Andrew and fed him his bottle about 4 and took him back to bed with me as he was kinda cold. Aiden was doing good at this point, so I just repositioned his blankies and went back to sleep. Around 6 or so, I woke again to check on Aiden and he was a dang popsicle. He was SO cold. Good Grief. It really kinda scared us. So he came to bed with us also, and that is where they ended up sleeping the rest of the time.

The beach was really fun. Adam took the kids on his surfboard the first day. The second day we all went to the beach. I was a little nervous about the boys getting burns, but they didn't get any. We let them sit in their Bumbo Chairs and put their hands and feet in the sand. Andrew immediatly started to eat the sand. I guess he really liked it, cause he kept going back for more and more. On our last morning there we ran over to the beach so Adam and Ian could do a little more surfing, and Jade and I could walk the beach and look for shells. Adam wasn't in the water 45 minutes before he was coming back out. He had been stung multiple times by a Jelly Fish. Earlier in the trip Jade had been stung by one, but she was over it in a few minutes. Adams, on the other hand was swelling up pretty quickly. It was on the inside of his leg close to his knee. He also had one on his foot. He went over to the life guard and he sprayed something on it, but it continued to hurt for hours. Now it just looks like he was burned. The ride home went pretty smoothly.. The most upsetting thing to happen was the Surf Board flying off the car at 75 mph. ...oops. By the time we got the car turned around safely and headed back to pick it up, someone had stopped and taken the board. :0(

That cabin looks so cute, it sounds like you all had a really terrific time. Except for the surf board, can you believe that. I love the picture of Ian and Jade sacked out on the porch with the swinging chair. So when does school start?
